I finally caved and got an Instant Pot.
I'm tempted now that I have to cook more for myself when DD2 is away at school.

Nothing really big. I ordered things I don't normally order (which is a slippery slope) like laundry detergent and shampoo . Ds is moving away in 6 weeks so I ordered him things that he'll need like hangers and extension cords. I also ordered 100 batteries But nothing big. My box was heavy though with 3 jugs of laundry detergent in it

Truffles, was all that Prime Day deals?
Also, are some of you saying your stuff has already arrived? The stiff I ordered on Prime Day 1 won't be there until Thursday, which is 3 days, not 2. I hate waiting!!!!

I think the prime day sale was kind of a scam. I just checked to see when the mattress pad will get here and ended up clicking on the item by accident. When I ordered on Mondayit said it was normally $84 but was on a prime day sale for $40. Well today it's no longer $40, it's $54. Does Amazon artificially raise the "regular" price right before prime day to make the discounts look higher than they really are?

I wanted to buy a new knife set, but was then paralyzed by choice. So I bought nothing.

Nothing I bought was on sale, but the shipping dates seem weird. Like, the cat food wonāt arrive until Friday, but my serger - which is my birthday present - is supposed to arrive tomorrow.

My order was placed on Monday (evening) and my confirmation email says "arriving Thursday." But then they shipped it this morning and they're now saying it will arrive on Friday. Hooray for 2-day shipping.

I typed too soon! The delivery dates listed when I ordered and when I checked in "my orders" was Thursday, but a bunch of stuff showed up this afternoon and several more items are now listed as "before 9pm today". I'm excited to set up my ring doorbell tomorrow and hope I can make it work. (I had to get the ring chime in addition to the doorbell because the main reason I wanted this is because our doorbell doesn't work, so hardwiring the ring to a non-working doorbell wouldn't make much sense!) And we now have a programable thermostat. I need to decide if I want to attempt to tackle that, or if I should leave it for DH (who also has no idea how to do it, but generally seems more confident in that realm.)

All that stuff was prime day sales. My shipping is wonky because Iām in a small northern town. Iāve received about half the stuff yesterday and today (treadmill yesterday, fire tablets and chrome book today). I think my credit card has melted a little bit. lol

A bunch of my stuff says āDeliveredā but it isnāt here! Gah! I am in a rural mountain area right now so sometimes it takes an extra day or two, even after they have marked it as being delivered. The UK is so small that everything is same day or next day. Then I come here and I have to wait three or four days - itās an outrage!!

Hmm. It does seem like the cat food has made it to Twinsburg, which is 45 minutes away, so I bet it shows up tomorrow. The cats will be relieved.

I donāt remember if it was Prime Day deal stuff or just one of my āregularā orders, but I opted for an extra day in delivery transit to get a digital credit.

I get this sometimes. Most of the stuff comes from the distribution centre in Mississauga and I can get same day delivery if I order at the right time of day - but if the stuff is from another warehouse it takes longer. I got 2 day delivery of something that I didn't realize they actually had to fly in from the US

Does Amazon artificially raise the "regular" price right before prime day to make the discounts look higher than they really are? Amazonās prices fluctuate almost daily. I bet it only went up a bit to get people who missed the Prime sale. I keep stuff on my wish list and check once in a while. Often times something will show a double digit percentage price drop since I added it to my list and then I decide if I want the item.

Do I need Smart Plugs? I have a "special offer" for Amazon Smartplugs for $5 (it says the regular price is twenty-something, which is probably a sam, but I know they are usually more than $5). How do people use these? Is it just so I can tell Alexa to turn on the light so I don't have to get my ass off the sofa?
