I now have a big freezer, so I would like to continue doing occasional batch cooking and having plenty of meals on the freezer. And being less wasteful with food. I have also been playing the piano more, which I would like to keep up. And I am much more productive around the house in general. Hopefully I can keep that up once I physically go back to work.

Are there any professional organizations for dentists? Sounds like a little lobbying might be worthwhile to engage in. Pencil pushing bureaucrats aren't the ones who make the decisions about regulation, but they do have some say in how those regulations are enforced, so it's important to get in there with your perspective.

Nothing will change too much. Dh and I already live pretty much keeping to ourselves, we don't travel, and we're pretty frugal. The funny thing about all of this is that just before it all happened, we were about to take off financially. Then dh got laid off. We're fine, but we were looking forward to socking a bunch of money away for retirement, and maybe even take a trip next winter. Oh well, we'll have to start once dh goes back to work. We have enough coming in, and our bills are low enough that we aren't using any credit to keep going at least.

Wow I feel like a real anomaly! I plan to eat out MORE. We really didn't eat out in restaurants that often although I went out once a month with my girls night out group. But I am SO sick of my own cooking. It's hard to convince dh that take out is safe. we've had pizza once and fish and chips, but other than that it's been me. I can't wait to go to a restaurant for dinner two or three times a month.
Also I plan to keep LESS food in the house. I've been finding stuff in the pantry that is expired. I cleaned out the fridge yesterday and of course, you know how it is with the salad dressings LOL. So way less food, but be much more picky about WHAT food I do keep on hand. the fridge looks so clean and tidy with all the crap thrown out.
I am loving being able to do the laundry any time I want to because Hydro One has suspended time of use pricing. works great for me!
I have noticed that we are turning the dishwasher on one extra time per week - probably connected to all the damned cooking.

It doesn't help that when he's cooking DH uses All The Things when he cooks. It's incredible. The same spoon can't be used to stir two things!

The ADA. The executive board is composed of people who work for insurance companies. It’s a horrible, useless, impotent organization. They have been putting out lots of memos about keeping dental offices closed. Dental insurance companies are collecting premiums and not paying any claims and loving it.

Yup. They are. Dental insurance would never do that. Ever. Lol

My son got his permit last month. I probably owe them more money, lol. (he is only driving when we have to leave the house, like today after his appointment, he drove home).

I'm expanding my vegetable garden. I'm going to hug the shit out of a bunch of people.

I have always kind of considered dental insurance like a discount club and not insurance in a traditional sense.
Honestly I can't think of anything I am probably going to change. In general this whole thing is like nightmare to me.

I had already planned to expand my garden before all this happened. We want to be more self-sufficient when we’re at the farm.

LOL If my husband cooked I'd be happy even if he dirtied every single dish in the kitchen! But he has been great about doing dishes and cleaning the kitchen. As soon as I start cooking something he helps. He's also a great chopper/dicer. He's a little OCD. I have remind him the pieces don't have to be exactly the same size and hurry it up!

I’d like to see if I could telecommute full time.
I had been thinking of leaving my state job after I’m vested in the pension in August but if I could work from home I’d be willing to stay.

Now that I finally set up something of a home office again I wouldn’t mind working from home 1-2 days a week

I feel so much more productive at home. I feel more productive in my life... but my job, not so much! So many distratctions here & it isn't just the kids. But I could definitely see splitting my time a bit more between home/office.

I don’t have the adjustable standing desk or 32 inch monitor and a Keurig next to it like I do at work. I bought a 28 inch monitor but my wife is using it and the desk because she has a lot more work than I do. So I am doing most of the stuff with my son for school.

I hated it when I first started but now I think I could get used to working from home at least sometimes. I'm still much more productive in the office, but I really enjoyed listening to the playlist from The Rza/DJ Premier rap battle on Spotify while I was working, which I definitely would not be able to listen to in the office.
