I found some pork tenderloins kicking around at the bottom of the freezer from last march. I was going to make pork-apple stir fry, but they look too freezer burnt so I guess its meat pies and mashed potatoes.

Tonight it's some weird wiener/sausages wrapped in Pillsbury dough and baked. And some noodle thing on the side. I'm real enthusiatic.

Dinner was shockingly good. The white wine helped a little.

We had bangers and mash last night. Which is always on the cold weather menu for us. For some reason dh grew up with creamed corn as the side, so creamed corn it is. Tonight it's some weird wiener/sausages wrapped in Pillsbury dough and baked. And some noodle thing on the side. I'm real enthusiatic. Thanks for the laugh! Glad to read the update that it was tastier than predicted.

We had leftovers of the pork adobo I made over the weekend. It tastes better every day we have it. Tonight we had it with rice and spinach.

Today I made a big batch of perogies (40) so we had those. They turned out pretty good, and went well with hamburgers and gravy.

I had a bunch of leftover Thanksgiving turkey in the freezer so I made a casserole and a stew. I made galushki (dumplings) to go into the stew. I haven’t had them in about 30 years and they were just as yummy asI remembered.

I made galushki (dumplings) to go into the stew. I haven’t had them in about 30 years and they were just as yummy asI remembered. I had to look up galushki and am happy to have a name for what I've always put into my chicken soup. My mom just always called them "drop noodles" and never shaped them, just dropped them by the spoonful into the soup (or streamed them in). I tend to use a spaetzle press when I make them as I like them smaller. Yum.... getting hungry for some now.

I'm doing this Salisbury steak meatball thing in the crock. Haven't decided on having it over mashed or rice. Dh found the recipe and wanted to try it, and I putzed out on making it last night, ordered pizza instead.
