I'm down 3 more pounds, and put on my waterproof hiking pants this morning, which were snug around my middle, and they fit perfectly now!
I also got in a good workout this morning - shoveling the almost two feet of snow we got!

Does this battle EVER end? No. denial and aging can create a myriad of excuses. Yes.

So down 30lbs. Still doing my thing. Hoping for nicer weather soon so I can get outside a bit more. Husband is down 26lbs inspite of eating cookies every.damn.night. MEN!

Nicer weather makes a big difference!
I have been running outdoors for a few weeks now - so much better than the treadmill!
Adding cardio has been good for my energy levels (and I can see that the change in seasons has improved my mood.) But I literally have gained a bit of weight around my belly - about half an inch - because my appetite has increased. I will get on top of it by cutting out sugar again.
In regards to running: I've started participating in a local Parkrun. There aren't many parkruns in the US - they're huge in the UK and some other countries like Australia. Its a totally free timed 5k fun run at 9am in local parks. I am slow but addicted!

I’m looking at classes at my gym. Need to do more cardio since it helps my mood throughout the day.

I'm back on track this week after playing stupid games with myself for a few weeks. I stopped logging my food and started telling myself things like "well I've lost 3 pounds so if I gain 1.5 back I'm still ahead so why not have a chocolate bar!?!". The answer to my stupid question is that when I eat sugar the following couple of days are spent being overcome with sugar cravings.
I'm down a total of 18 but still have a long way to go, my back issues and sciatic nerve pain have been bad lately and I know that losing more weight would help a lot.

I have so many things going on. Despite eating better and moving more, my weight is still problematic. I have given up wine for the next 30 days. I want to see if that makes a difference in my weight loss and other health issues.

I find that sugar is an addiction for me. I'm either on the wagon or off it. I can have one sweet a day for a couple of days then suddenly I'm eating packs of cookies and tubs of ice cream.
Eli I think you'll find that cutting out wine will make a difference. Nosy question you don't have to answer: were you drinking daily? I drank "moderately every day" and lost several inches off my waist when I quit.

For me it’s salt and texture.... there are these kettle cooked potato chips that are sold in the break room that I love.
I track every day I resist buying a bag with a stream habit app....
I allow myself to buy a bag on fridays

I need to shut my piehole. If it's not nailed down, I'm scarfing it up like the end is nigh (and given this morning's tweets, it is!). Still, I don't want go to my final resting place in tight pants.
I don't have a sweet tooth (thank God), I just like big tasty dinners. Pants are tight, thighs are like thunder, ass is bigly. Must.stop.eating.
And I was just 6 lbs. from goal weight! Then, besieged by need to consume all the food. Damn it.

Regular sleep is like magic. I haven't felt this good in a long freaking time, and it's only been a week.

Even if I had a good day with food, once I sat down, I'd negate everything by eating and drinking.

I need to hop on the weight loss wagon. I think I've gained about 30 lbs in the past few years, and I was already 25(+?) lbs overweight at that point... my main problem is that I have a sedentary job and that I get the afternoon munchies, which I indulge by grazing all afternoon. Ugh. I'm also addicted to sugar but once I'm off it for a day or two, I don't even have the cravings anymore. Then I'll eat a piece of cake and it's a downward spiral.
I've joined a gym and I've cut sugar out of my coffee so I'm not starting off the day with something sweet. I have tried low-carb but I tend to get heartburn, so eating a lot of fat doesn't agree with me.
Meh. When I was 20, I could eat my weight in brownies and french fries and not gain a pound. No fair.

I'd say "2 or 3 large glasses of wine" was about my average daily intake. When I quit I lost inches. Other improvements included: better complexion, improved mood (fewer negative thoughts, no more mood swings), fewer aches and pains in my back and joints. I should add that some of the improvements may have been influenced by my starting to regularly exercise about two or three weeks in.

In an effort to counteract the damage done by copiously two-fisting Cooks Illustrated recipes, I have begun the None-to-Run program today. <insert applause>
I've always exercised, but I'm an aerobics-type gal. I like choreographed stuff, like Zumba Gold, step, and now that I'm an old-lady I get my freak on to Leslie Sansone. I'm all about grapevines, mambos and skaters. I do NOT run. If the zombie apocalypse comes, I'm an immediate casualty, even with slow George Romero zombies. Did I mention that I do NOT run? I do NOT run.
But, that was in the past. Today I begin a new thing. Today I become a new person. <insert applause>
Week 1, run 1 completed and I feel great! Dread factor for upcoming runs: zero. I even bought new clothes at the Under Armour outlet yesterday and new running shoes in preparation for this new momentous quest.
Ever so grateful for Classic Rock Power Workout on Pandora Radio because running to "More Than A Feeling" makes you feel way pumped!
I'm so excited! Can you tell?!?

I feel your excitement and I reciprocate it! I did couch to 5k a few years ago and it really worked!
I enjoy running more than I thought I would. Especially now the weather is nice.
I'm going to cut back the weightlifting to 2 days a week and do more running for a couple of/few months.

I’m on my second day of low-carbing, my second week of walking on the treadmill (aka Time with Thorin, lol, since DH bought a “dwarf-size” stand-up poster for me a few years ago & put it next to the treadmill), & increasing my water intake. I’ve been eating too much & too much garbage for too long & it’s got to stop.
