If so, can you do frozen chicken breasts in it or do you need to thaw them? It has instructions for some stuff that is frozen, but then just says chicken for chicken.

I have an actifry and I'm sure you can do frozen chicken breasts. HOpefully they'd be cut up into smaller pieces though - whole ones would thump around pretty bad. If they're battered, the batter may come off during the turning.

I keep looking at them and wonder if I would use it.

I keep looking at them and wonder if I would use it. I have one and I love it. It is really just a counter convection oven, but it makes things crispy and keeps any mess contained. I love steak, but I haven’t gotten the pan sear method down and broiling makes such a mess out of the oven. Now I cook them in my air fryer and they come out really nicely with no mess. We don’t eat frozen fries much, but I have made them in there and they come out nice and crispy. I think it will be great in the summer when I want to make something that traditionally gets done in the oven.

My wife wants to get one I just wasn’t sure if it actually “fried” stuff but I do keep hearing it’s more like an oven.
Do they cook things faster than a conventional oven?

I do bone in chicken thighs in 25-30 minutes, no preheating, flipping once halfway through. Steaks take about 8-10 minutes, depending on thickness, for medium. I did did frozen fries that take 25 minutes in a preheated oven in 10, no preheating.

So, is there any oil in there at all?
How easy is clean up of the actual device?
I roast a lot of veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, etc..) Can you do that in this?

The one I have cleans up really easily. You can use small amounts of oil, but I find most stuff doesn’t need much if any at all. I will use a spray olive oil on any veggies I put in there, just as I use it when oven roasting. I would cook anything that Inwould normally put in the oven in my air fryer so long as it fits.

I'm tired of not eating dinner until 7:00 - 7:30 most nights after getting home from work.

Yeah those times are way shorter than I am used to. For French fries I am used to 30-40 minutes

It really does seem awesome. I am definitely using it instead of the oven in the summer.
