If my husband did it, it would likely take dd a day or so to figure it out. We keep different schedules. Though if dh was lying to her and said I went out of town or something, it would take longer.
Work - someone would email me that day, and wait for a response.

Well, I was in a meeting for an hour and I had 12 texts (and a post on Facebook tagging me that simply said "Maureen, check your phone!") so I don't think it would be too long.
My aunt is 89 and she has plans every day because she said she wants someone to miss her sooner rather than later.

My son-in-law’s uncle passed away last week. The neighbours hadn’t heard from him for a couple of days so someone checked it out. They found him in the raspberries. They think he had been dead for a couple of days. His funeral is tomorrow. He lived alone & his kids live in another province.

My DH would notice by 6pm when I haven’t texted him with what time I’m leaving work. Right now my kids wouldn’t notice for a couple of days. During the school year my younger DS would notice first thing in the morning when I wasn’t there to remind him to get up and moving. Work would notice 15-30 minutes after I’m supposed to be there. They would call and text me. I’m not sure if they would send someone to my house it depends on who is on. The HR business office woman might call her husband for my DH’s number since he knows him She also knows where I live so she would probably be the one to eventually come to the house. I am never late and never call out. I usually answer right away so I think they would start to panic after awhile.

DW would notice I was missing as soon as she had a computer, WiFi or printer issue.

Ooooo...Good question. If we're assuming dh did it, he could make excuses for me until one of our dds caught on.
M-F I telecommute and do a lot of short-suspense stuff, though. It's a shame that the one most likely to suspect something was up first would be the twit who has been a thorn in my side for the past 6 weeks. She'd contact my boss, who would call, and then contact my friend, who would then come to my house and kick ass (from 2.5 hours away).
Unfortunately, dh has a good friend who knows the best way to hide the body where it would NEVER be found...

I would be a terrible criminal. I mean, I might be able to shoot someone. Maybe. I could never stab anyone though and no way in hell I could touch a dead body. I am too squeamish for murder. ![:lol](//storage.proboards.com/6819125/images/ootSdPWOeOobaJZc0kIU.gif)

As a person who had to change the beneficiary on both of her life insurance policies this morning I’d just like to say for the record that if I turn up dead in the near future someone needs to find me. 😳

Except most of those crime shows take their information from real life, don't they? So the ideas have already been used.

Law & Order was always good for taking ideas "ripped from the headlines".

As a person who had to change the beneficiary on both of her life insurance policies this morning I’d just like to say for the record that if I turn up dead in the near future someone needs to find me. 😳 Clearly I’ve missed some stuff. I’m sorry! My husband would probably get concerned within a half a day or so, depending on what I was doing for the day. With my friends? Ummm, they’d probably contact Tom within a day if I wasn’t replying, maybe sooner if I was supposed to be somewhere and didn’t show. Certainly not as quickly as her friend called. Frankly, my theory has been that she had a conversation with someone previously that if they couldn’t get ahold of her then they needed to check on her. I think she knew something was possible.
