Did they clean the carpets? The windows inside and out?

I'm not sure if they cleaned the carpets. They didnt do the windows. They told me that their cleaner would freeze in the windows.

So are you going to just pay it or are you going to confront her over her misleading pricing?

I don't think I would agree to paying per hour for cleaning since I can't control how fast (or slow) people would clean. I'd want a quote for the job.
I wouldn't pay per cleaner per hour.

I am going to talk to her. I have been putting it off as I really don't like confronting people about things. Especially being in a small town when I am going to run into her at the store or wherever.
I know this doesn't have to do with anything but her husband works at the bank and he is the person that is helping the buyers buy my moms house. I am pretty sure it wont affect anything in any way but it is still suits in the back of mind.

I never charged by the hour. I had an idea of what I wanted to make per hour and quoted appropriately. They would have shit themselves if they knew I was looking for £15 and often managed £20. Hourly cleaners tended to charge £10. I learned a system from a book that made me really fast (it involved a tool belt improvised from a waiters apron and using things like razor blades to clean countertops). I would quote £30 for a small house and be done in 2 hours easy. But it meant that I had to clean while they weren't home. I knew another guy who used the same system and he had a client who checked the time data on the alarm system and freaked out... After months of being happy with the price and the performance, he felt he was being overcharged. So they parted ways and he's probably paying someone the same amount of money to take longer.
