I see there is a movement to get Biden to pick him as VP Cuomo or Bernie? Because the last thing on earth we need is TWO ancient white guys running the show for crying out loud.

Biden was revived by black voters in SC. He should definitely not pick an old white guy.

I am amused at how the rabid Sanders fans have responded by ramping up their attacks on Biden. Sure, because that will help.

Right, Alice!!
Biden wasn't in my top 10 picks, but I saw months ago that he would be the one to beat.
Sanders supporters who shit all over Biden deserve Trump.

But the rest of us, who reluctantly gave up the dream of a Warren or Harris or whoever presidency and will vote for Biden instead DON'T deserve trump but will get him anyway if the Sanders supporters can't move past their disappointment, grieve their lost dream, and vote for Biden.

What is just wild to me is that from what I see, the crowd throwing a temper tantrum and proclaiming there to be no difference between Biden and Trump, is largely made up of people who stand to lose the most from another Trump term. Talk about cutting off their nose to spite their face.

I get it, I do. I understand that people really love their candidate and feel that only their candidate can fix the problems.
You can't build a movement on an every 4 year election in a first past the post election system, though. If they really believe that socialism is the way to go, they need to stop whining and get to work building a socialist/socialist democratic party at the local level. You can't put the roof on the house before you've poured the foundation.
FWIW, my dream is for a mixed approach of socialism and capitalism. Either one without the balance of the other gets dangerous, IMO.

Yeah this past year I got heavily involved in my local political scene. I think if more people did that they would see change at the higher levels.

You know, all those stereotypes about Sanders supporters being entitled and demanding are kind of ringing true.

Right now most of the socialism goes to making rich corporations and people even richer. My dream is for socialism which helps those in the other 98%.

The income disparity between the working class and upper executives is too high. It's been increasing for decades. Add to that a terminally ill heathcare insurance system and unaffordable higher education, and it's possible without change we will see no middle class in the coming years.

The income disparity between the middle class and upper executives is trivial because there are nowhere near as many upper executives as there are middle class employees . I read about this before and it comes up every once in a while but the largest growing income disparity is between lower and upper middle class household incomes. You could take an executive’s pay/bonuses and split it among the employees of a mid to large size corporation and it’s minuscule. I think McDonald’s executive pay split would get you a 6 piece chicken nugget meal. I remember a long time ago when I just left retail seeing people here talk about “middle class” and their $2500 a month mortgages and here I was paying $400 a month rent with a roommate. We’ve stretched the definition of “middle class” to the point where the lower middle class household income is one that qualifies for different state-federal subsidies and the upper middle class still thinks they are “working class”. The upper middle class keeps growing and identifying themselves as “middle class” and forget what regular middle class is like. I read China has the largest income disparity between the middle classes now. www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2018/09/06/the-american-middle-class-is-stable-in-size-but-losing-ground-financially-to-upper-income-families/![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200410/14a71abc145e8d78283545de3ce56341.jpg)
