What kind of kitty litter do you use?
We use the PetCo bulk litter, but I'm not happy with it anymore. Looking for suggestions for something better.

We use Fresh Step. It's the only litter that can handle Beau's diabeetus urine.

I use Tidy Cats. It’s the best one for the price that I can easily get at my grocery store, and often on sale.
My sister says that “The Best Cat Litter in the World” lives up to its name. I’ve never tried it, seems expensive. She lives in a one bedroom apartment with two cats and one litter box, I have a three story house and have 3 litter boxes. So our needs are different. I only need Pretty Good Cat Litter.

Arm & Hammer here. Previous owners declawed cat #1 so we can't use pelleted litter. We really love the stuff.

Tidy Cat, tried the Best Kitty Litter once and it would be expensive as hell with four cats

I use a store brand silica crystal litter. I started using it years ago on the recommendation from the breeder when we got Gretzky. It's amazing stuff. It desiccates the solids so no smell. We scoop out the solids nightly and stir up the crystals really well to distribute the urine-dried ones. We have two cats, one litter box (actually a Rubbermaid bin), and we change out the crystals every two weeks. It would probably last an extra week if we didn't have to pump Gretzky full of water all the time (and Buddy, too, as an added precaution because they sometimes eat from each other's bowls).

I use Fresh Step sometimes. There are 2 brands at Canadian Tire that I usually buy, and the Fresh step seems to have a little less dust. That's what I usually look for. I scoop daily and she's only 1 cat.
The Costco litter is very good and when I'm there I buy it.
Peanut - I'm not understanding what you mean by pelleted litter. Scooter is declawed on the back feet. Other than the months after the declawing, (when I used yesterdays news on the advice of the vet) she's used regular litter with no issues.
She's 19 and holding.

We switch between the Petsmart store brand and the Aldi's store brand (which I'm pretty sure is Tidy Cat).

I mostly use the aldi store brand, which is cheap and good, and sometimes a box of whatever Arm&Hammer variety amazon has on sale. We've got two boxes downstairs and I scoop at least once/day, and change and scrub one box every weekend.
I did try the Feline Pine, because you can flush the poop that way, and it's compostable, but the cats didn't like it.

Our girl was declawed (badly) on all four paws by her previous owners, and the Rescue told us the pelleted litter gets stuck between her "stumps" and can irritate the sensitive areas that did not heal well. There's a very good chance your Scooter was declawed by a more humane and better skilled vet and definitely by the request of a more loving owner.

I really liked Feline Pine when we tried it but it became harder and harder to find in my area.

I use the silica type and it's made a big difference! I also use biodegradable litter boxes.

Thanks for the responses! Looks like I've got a few different options to try with Double Trouble!
