Decided to stick with NOOM, down 10 lbs in just under 3 weeks. Baby steps...

1.5 mile brisk walk this morning! Did 10 pushups on steps at the school at the top of the hill, and 10 more on my front steps when I got home.

I continue to not lose weight. I really don't know how that's possible. I'm doing 30+ miles a week (on an elliptical, which I assume is less than 10 mies running bot much more than 10 miles biking). Food is also much improved, though I'd say I'm probably 80% healthy WRT food, as compared to maybe 10% before.
I'm only moderately discouraged (though at some point that will likely get worse if the scale continues it's lack of movement). My body clearly looks different, my clothes fit differently, and I have so much more stamina. All good things!

Down 13 lbs. I intended to add more physical activity this week, but transitioning to a new antidepressant is kicking my butt. So.tired. Hoping it will pass after I’ve been on it for awhile.

NOOM is a bit annoying, but I don’t have to deal with someone face to face, so that’s good, and it’s been a good tool for accountability, which is why I decided to stay with it. Down 16 lbs so far.

Did a half an hour of weight training this morning. I'm going to be sore later.

I have a good routine going. I take a 5-mile walk every day, go to bed at 9, and eat sensibly. I haven’t weighed myself but my focus is on making healthy choices for their own sake, not losing a certain amount of weight. That seems to work better for me.

Finally started seeing progress on the scale again. Down about 15 pounds from Japan high, and it seems like nearly 2 clothing sizes as well.
I work out nearly every day, going between 3.5 and 10 miles. (This is on an elliptical so I assume that's less difficult than the same distance walking or running, but definitely more than biking.) Saturday and Sunday were the first time since we got our machine (I think mid-April) that I've gone two days in a row w/o working out.
Our pool is finally opened and repaired, but I've only done one pool workout, which surprises me a bit because I loved that so much last summer. I think I prefer the elliptical because it's my time to watch trash TV and I can't do that in the pool.

Did a huge hike today up and down the mountain, then went and sat in the hot spring which was as hot as a hot tub. Hopefully that makes me less sore tomorrow. I brought my paddle board out so gonna do that tomorrow. Always a good workout for the core, makes my stomach muscles hurt... or the fleshy spot where my stomach muscles are supposed to be anyway...
I wore a bikini at the hotsprings and was totally confident.. I’m glad I lost some weight over Covid lockdown!

Down another two pounds. Went to get dressed in semi-real clothes today and had exactly one pair of shorts that was wearable, and they were still probably a size too large.
No workout today as we were out in the sun all day. How does floating in a pool make you exhausted? Not sure, but it's 8pm and my eyes are falling shut.

I continue to lose weight. I'm now down about 18lbs since we went into quarantine.
I think it's down to lack of appetite caused by depression. I'm not fetal-position-in-bed depressed.... Just sort of more like I'm floating through the days. Kind of half switched on. I was being very good about exercising daily but that gradually tapered down and the past two days I've done none.

Most of my exercise lately has been gardening related, which is more cardio than it is for most people because of my physical limitations. But it doesn't take long to weed or deadhead, so it's maybe 20 minutes a day.
I did go for a walk this morning, and I bought a knock-off TRX but I haven't found a good place to work out with it yet.

Looking to get one for Zoe. What kind and where did you find a knock off? Oh and I just saw Newington Target has wipes

Another two day stretch of not working out. We had a few people over for socially distant pool time on the 4th and the 5th was my birthday. While it was low key and very different than my usual birthdays (we typically travel), it was very relaxing, so no workout. Anyway, it was strange in that today, I really had to psych myself up to work out. I ended up doing both elliptical and pool jogging and it was fine once I got started. It was just interesting that after two days off, suddenly I felt a bit of resistance to doing it. (Could be unrelated to the time off.)
New bikinis arrived. Haven't worn a two piece in a while, but I was very happy with them, and some of them even fit my boobs quite well, which is no-small miracle.

Doug and I went for a 2.5 mile walk yesterday evening, and we stopped at a school we walked by so I could do pushups on the steps - I did 20 of them.

I gained 4 lbs on vacation, so I'm trying to be responsible and take care of myself to get back down.

I signed up for a Spartan 5K next June. It’s been something on my goal list that I keep kicking the can down the road every year l. I got my annual performance bonus with my merit increase today and said “f$ck it” and signed up. My wife said I should sleep on it but also said she knows I never sleep on things.
I’ve been using an online personal trainer for a couple of months now and I really like it. She assigns me workouts, the app is laid out nicely with videos and tracking information where I can record results. I have a check in FaceTime call scheduled for next week also.
I needed to step outside my comfort zone exercise wise because I’ve been sort of just sandbagging it for a while now, going through the motions and sort of in a daze. So I’m changing to more circuit style workouts that get my heart rate up

20 x 3 FauxRX squats 20 x 3 fauxRX rows 15 x 3 pushups on steps 25 min gardening (this made me sweatier than anything else I did, so it counts in my book)
