Many are displeased by this and calling her a hypocrite.
So we can't condemn one genocide unless we acknowledge them all?
Bad non-vote on her part

13 people voted **against** it, I wonder what it is about Omar that makes her the one singled out?
Even though it's a boneheaded vote, all the attention is on her present vote, no attention on all the "no" voters.

Who were the NO votes? I can't find them?
Any other Dems (that are supposedly super progressive like Omar)?

I don't think the United States has any right to condemn other countries for past acts of genocide. We could just as easily be condemned for the way we have treated Native Americans. If a country is committing genocide how we should take action to try to stop it, but we can't change the past.

We aren’t condemning anyone, we’re recognizing what the victims went through as genocide. The Armenians deserve their suffering to be recognized for what it was- a genocide. Until now many have denied that it was such.

Does recognizing it as genocide open the door to people/countries seeking reparations?
