Oh, people who vaccine-shop make me so mad 🤬 I believe that Pfizer and Moderna are given by hospitals/public health units and the AZ is given through pharmacies and primary care settings. I mean, the scientists and doctors are saying that the best vaccine to get is the first one you can get!

I think where we are booked in for our shots (3 out of 4 of us, the 5th, my eldest, lives on his own & will be amongst the last vaccinated) is doing Pfizer/Moderna. Part of me wants the Moderna, because all hail Dolly Parton and the other part of me wants the Pfizer, because I want to walk out yelling "THIS GIRL IS ON PFIZERRRRRRRRR!" Hell, I'll take the A-Z if that's what's on tap when we get there. Then I can say I'm covered from A to Z.

I got the A-Z. I was just happy to get it. I would have liked Pfizer but didn’t want to wait months for it.

At least my son-in-law will get his. He's the one I've been most worried about given that he works in a hot zone. I just hope you don't have to LIVE in the zone to get it. Although, now that I think about it, they are offering the exact same vaccine to his age group here where we live, so it probably doesn't matter. It's more like he'll be able to get it during the workday. She may be in for a long wait. I would HOPE that with the AZ available, they'll use the pfizer and moderna to give people their second dose if it comes to that.

My sister-in-law I mentioned a while ago who had COVID? Yeah, she ended up with an infection that went into her brain. They're pulling the plug today.
I didn't know her, only met her a handful of times. She and her family lived on the mainland when we lived on the Island, and they came over once a year-ish. Then we moved to the prairies. She's 10 years older than dh, got married young and moved out when dh was 8. So he's not close with her either. Her husband is a bit of a creep, too. So add all of that up, and I never spent any time with them. But he was still her sister, so I know it's really weird for him. His other sisters and mom still live in BC.
We don't think he'll be able to go to any service they may have - he has a new job and he'd have to quarantine himself for two weeks when he came back to our privince. There's only 10 people allowed at a service anyway.

Thanks everyone. My SIL was never a healthy person in general, so while some people would attribute her death to that, she was alive before she got COVID, right? All the anti-maskers and anti-vaxxers are so much more annoying now. "After 95 days in the hospital Rich is coming home TODAY! Just finished reading that - what a huge relief for everyone. I kind of love that they have an entire recipe section too - I'm busily pinning some recipes, lol.
