We pick her up from the foster today!! She’s a 12 week old yellow lab and they don’t know what else. Dad is unknown but they found mom shortly after the pups were born. It’s been so hard to rescue a puppy and crates etc are sold out 😄but I think we got a doll. I hope Penny likes her. She’s so sad without Roxie.

So cute! We are talking about getting a dog but probably will wait for a bit. The shelters seem to be placing a lot of them right now. I know the dog population has exploded in my neighborhood!

Awww... so sweet! I've heard about a lot of animals getting adopted. I'm worried when people get back to work, there may be a lot of surrenders.

She kind of looks like she had a little bit of a bully breed in her too with her face. I've done a 180 on pitbulls. I've got to know several people who have them, and they are raised right and are love bugs.

We have some relatives that have dogs and I have no idea why they insist on owning them. One is a nurse and works weird hours and is constantly asking her sisters to let the dog out when she has to work a 12 hour shift. Then she goes out a year later and buys another dog.....

She’s beautiful, Jen!
I’ve seen a lot more neighbourhood dogs in the last couple of months, too 😄

Cutie! Awww... so sweet! I've heard about a lot of animals getting adopted. I'm worried when people get back to work, there may be a lot of surrenders. My shelter is adopting out dogs at close to the rate of last year, in spite of reduced capacity (we have to keep the number of staff in the building low, so we can't take in quite as many animals). The overall goal of my job is to keep animals out of the shelter. So far we haven't had more returns than usual, but as more people go back to work, I wonder if that will keep up. I'd rather have people return a puppy than think they have to surrender them in a year when the dog is now an adolescent and totally out of control. We allow people 45 days to decide to return or keep, and I provide free support during that time. I have spent quite a bit of time in the last couple of months explaining to people that no, they don't have the bitiest puppy ever born, that's how most of them are.
