Cuomo wants to fine practitioners who don't strictly adhere to the priority schedule, which seems extremely counterproductive to me.

For treating and helping people during a pandemic.. Nice. If that was the case here I’d just refuse to participate. I’d rather not do it at all than risk my license and some government fine. Medicare cuts also started 1/1 so they’re also paying the doctors less to treat people and put themself at risk.

Maybe we should fine politicians who make decisions to put people sick with Covid into nursing homes and end up killing thousands of people and then write a book about what a good job they’re doing and try to sell it to people....

Got my shot. No allergic reaction, slight fever (100) and some chills but that’s it so far...

Awesome Gof
Seems some Texans got a clue. They are looking to open convention centers (of which we have quite a few) to be vaccine centers. As soon as I get my 2nd shot, I’ll be there to help get shots.

Respect 👊🏼 It was definitely not an easy decision. I’ve got a very sore arm, and not feeling great but I’m glad I did it. I’m callin it my Fauci Ouchie lol

The nurse that sat with me after my shot called me today to make sure I was doing good and ask if I was having any side effects. Nurse people are the best people ❤️

My sister got sick with Covid the day she was supposed to get her first dose. She seems to be doing well and has what seems to be a mild case. I asked what happened to her vax status and now that she has had it, with an official positive test, she is moved to the very last group.

Hi Everyone, I know I haven't really posted here much at all in the past and now never. I am just so extremely busy. I volunteered to assist with a regional clinic and helped vaccinate first responders with the Moderna vaccine last Saturday everyone did well. I received the Pfizer vaccine last Sunday as a nursing home worker and everyone did well including all the residents. I encourage everyone that can to please get the vaccine. As an infection control nurse I just had to open a Covid wing of a nursing home again. Please. I am so tired of Covid

I have been on the fence about getting it because of a previous reaction to a vaccine but I’ve decided that when it’s offered to me, I’m going to get it. (I’ll just tell them about my previous reaction). I’m so tired of COVID.

Wisconsin just moved teachers to an earlier group so I could potentially be vaccinated before spring break. My mom is getting her first dose in two weeks (on my dad's birthday), so if we are both vaccinated by spring break I can go hug her.

I'm trying to imagine life after vaccination. It will relieve any concerns I have of getting sick myself, but it doesn't change anything regarding anything else, right? I mean, even though I wouldn't become sick and could still carry and shed it. So if I, say, went out on a date, I'd still have to quarantine after before I could be around others who haven't been vaccinated. Right?
Presumably my parents would get the vaccine before me, so I could still go see them without worrying about getting them sick. But if I didn't want to spread it to others not vaccinated, I'd still wear a mask and keep distance. It's not really a "move freely about the planet" thing. Just "move without fear of getting sick."

DH and I are likely higher risk, because of his smaller than normal lungs, and my RA, but since it is very easy for us to STAY HOME and not go out, I'd rather see healthcare workers, LTC residents, cops, etc. get it ahead of us. Even prisoners in prisons. Heck, it's not like they have a choice to stay home and not have contact with anyone. We have that choice. I've seen that meme on facebook bitching about how prisoners are getting it ahead of the general population. I don't want those guards and workers in the prisons to have to deal with an outbreak. They already have enough on their plate. And to be honest, the prisoners are there to serve their time, and the government owes it to them to keep them safe.

Also, Inky, that meme is just another made-up controversy ginned up by the Conservatives to try to make the feds look bad.
