I decided to try to go 2 days in between hair washing. I got some dry shampoo to help ease into it. It feels odd. I guess you get used to it? Hopefully my hair will get over not being washed every day. The roots get oily. It seems my color fades so quickly being washed daily.

I spray it at the roots esp on crown of my head. Then run my fingers through and kinda fluff into place. I can usually get 2-3 days out of one wash

I'm so happy I got out of the daily hair washing cycle. My hair is happier, too! (I'm close to ditching my dryer, too, but one thing at a time. LOL) On the days I use dry shampoo, I do the same as cg.

My hair is super fine and oily, but as I get older, it's not AS oily, so I've been doing the dry shampoo every other day. I only put on a little and work it through.
What kind do you use? OGX Thick & Full Biotin and Collagen has worked the best for me, and it smells really good.

My hair texture is fine (but I have a lot of it). This stuff makes it feel rough.

I have very dry hair and I only shampoo it about twice a week. Sometimes I use the Drybar Clear dry shampoo. It doesn’t leave any “powder”.
For me the key is to turn my head upside down, spray the dry shampoo at the roots, then flip upright and let it sit there for a few mins, then kinda massage it in and style. But I have to leave it sit at the root a few mins to absorb the oils.

I used dry shampoo pretty regularly pre-COVID. I use Suave's Refresh and Revive - it comes in a 2 pack at target for less than $6. It's a silver can with yellow cap. I hated a lot of the dry shampoos I tried because they felt like hair spray with dry shampoo in it. It was gross. This one is very light feeling and has kind-of a citrusy smell.
I do very similar to what GOF describes. I also do it at night, so it has a lot of time to absorb the oil as it forms and then just a very quick spritz in the morning after I'm done with any styling that needs to happen (flat iron, etc).

I have fine hair, but lots of it, I have been growing out since March. I have been sucked down the online shopping rabbit hole, and started using Madison Reed for coloring, and recently bought some L'ange hair products including dry Shampoo. (I usually use Not Your Mothers dry shampoo)
The best trick I found is using it the night BEFORE- I spray it on the roots of my bangs and the crown of my head, I don't brush it out until I stole it in the morning. I spritz a little sea salt spray as well, and I am good to go. I can stretch a day 3 sometimes by pulling it into a bun. I have a fake hair scrunchie, which is fabulous for this!

I have very dry hair (mine is long, frizzy, and color-treated, so there's also all of those factors). I wash it once a week. When it's feeling a bit dirty (which is hardly ever), I use a bit of dry shampoo (either Dry Bar or Klorane, which is a powder). I flip my head upside down, spray at the roots, flip upright, rub it into the roots, brush through, and my hair looks refreshed. For days when it feels a little rough, Dry Bar makes a dry conditioner.

I can't use it unless my hair is straightened. I have a Dove one that I use.

Is there one aimed at guys? I find guys' shampoos better quality than the ones for gals.

I only wash my hair twice a week. I put it in the night before. To be honest, I wear a hat A LOT 😉
