LOS ANGELES—Harvey Weinstein’s leave of absence from his Weinstein Co. studio will be indefinite, the company’s board said Friday, adding that it had opened an independent investigation into allegations of sexual harassment and misconduct by the Hollywood producer. Mr. Weinstein, best known for producing award-winning movies like “Pulp Fiction” and “The King’s Speech,” was the subject of a New York Times investigation Thursday that found he had paid settlements to at least eight women who accused him of sexual harassment. Mr. Weinstein, in a statement issued Thursday, apologized for past behavior and said he was working with his attorney and others to rectify it. www.wsj.com/articles/harvey-weinsteins-leave-described-as-indefinite-by-board-1507334295?mod=e2fb

Rose McGowan rips Hollywood after Weinstein story breaks: ‘You know you are even dirtier’ Actress Rose McGowan issued a blistering — but carefully worded — critique on Thursday for everyone who does business with Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein: “Cleanse yourselves.” The New York Times rocked Hollywood this week with the release of an exposé accusing Mr. Weinstein, an industry power player and liberal activist, of decades of sexual harassment in the workplace. Ms. McGowan, who reached a settlement with the movie mogul in 1997 after a hotel incident, took to social media as the story broke. Mr. Weinstein supported former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s failed presidential bid, donated at least $250,000 to the Clinton Foundation, and gave $66,000 to former President Obama’s victory fund. The Washington Free Beacon notedon Thursday that Mr. Weinstein also made donations to Sens. Chuck Schumer of New York, Cory Booker of New Jersey, Al Franken of Minnesota, Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, and many others. CNN’s Jake Tapper also weighed in by quoting an inside source who said Mr. Weinstein’s behavior was known throughout Hollywood. [I’m] shocked it’s taken so long for a Harvey Weinstein behavior exposé. One of the most open secrets in Hollywood,” a producer told Mr. Tapper. m.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/oct/5/rose-mcgowan-rips-hollywood-after-weinstein-story-/

One of the major perks of being a "big name" Hollywood producer may finally be going away. Let's see if this really affects his business in any way.

I just read his Tweets, but he didn't name the person so I'm not sure he is being very brave by sharing his story as the others are. He is still protecting the person who assaulted him.
