My wife has seen the play(?) a couple of times and wanted to see this. It’s something that wouldn’t work for the general population I guess

I liked the play and the book of poems but I like musicals in general and I can’t see how it would translate to film...

I saw it on Broadway in 1985. It was ok. I have no desire to see it as a creepy cgi movie

I’m seriously the biggest James Corden fan there is alive on this entire planet. I’m a HUGE musical and broadway fan. That said, I also hate the play Cats lol. So this is a conundrum!

Was obsessed with the play, which I saw three times, as a kid. The musical/play is weird. It's almost plot-less, and to the extent that it does have a plot, it's that a bunch of different cats are hoping to be chosen for the annual reincarnation that goes to one special cat. So I think it was always going to be a hard sell for the general public, regardless of how well (or not) it was casted, directed, specially effected, or anything else. I plan to watch it eventually, and to probably hate it. Even as a Cats lover.

Not a fan of the musical, not a fan of Andrew Lloyd Webber's music in general, but oh, how I love bad movie reviews.

So, Maeve and I saw it before she went back to Ohio. It was hilariously bad.
