...pop in. Just thought I would stick my head in and see how everyone is doing. In spite of "orange man bad", I hope that everyone is healthy, happy, and doing well. For those of us on the right that disagreed philosophically with the agenda and policies of the Obama administration, know this...this too shall pass.
Be well,
Jason B

Hi JasonB!
I will get right into it. LOL There is a big difference between Obama's agenda polices and the orange man's loathsome character.
I can't WAIT to return to debating mere policies!!

Sprockey! You were always one of my faves (and I don't just say that to all the girls!). I am not going to defend Trump's character, tweets, lack of knowing more than 13 words, etc. because it is mostly indefensible. What I will offer is that it is my opinion that the democrats surrendered the moral high ground years ago. Whether it was JFK, Ted K., Bill Clinton, or a whole cadre of names, the democrats for years defended the indefensible. When the shoe is on the other foot, the democrats are clutching their pearls. As a whole, we have devolved to the point where things that should matter, no longer do. As for policy matters, I think both sides have been plenty guilty of using issues like chess pieces...moving among a board to gain some sort of power advantage, without actually addressing the needs of the people.

Darn it! I can't disagree with anything you've said!
I think if everyone really took your last statement to heart then we would all be better off and less divided.
Not one politician addresses the needs of the people.
(Good to see you!)

Fear not Sprockey, I am sure once we get to policy matters, I will say something that will make your blood boil and have you reaching for a pitchfork!
And Jen...looking forward to visiting in a few months.

Of course, on the flip side of this, the GOP spent decades perma-clutching their own pearls, embracing the Christian Right, and acting like they had a monopoly on morality. Now they have the biggest sleazeball of them all as their party leader and there has basically been a collective shoulder-shrug from the party of supposed “family values”. Well, except from Republicans like my in-laws, who as of February are registered Democrats for the first time in their lives. Never thought I would see the day, but they are traditional conservatives and think the GOP has gone off the rails. Anyway, I hope you hang around. It will be good to have a Republican voice on this board again!
