Dh and I are watching Friends. We’re on season 3, and it’s been a fun, fluffy trip back to the days we watched the original broadcasts. It started the year we got married.
I’m re-watching Community, too. I like it’s quirkiness.

We are four episodes deep into Tiger King and I am perplexed at how much of the public sees Carole Baskin as a bad guy. I totally think she killed her husband or knows something about his disappearance. It doesn't make her worse than the Tiger King, but I don't think she's "good", either. In fact, with the possible exception of the woman who lost her arm, I'm not sure there was anyone good in the series. (Okay, some of the more minor characters seemed neutral.)

I’m enjoying The Outer Banks. It’s a crisis of scooby doo and The Goonies The real crisis of that show is the way they apparently flooded a large swath of our state to make way for their magical ferry between the Outer Banks and Chapel Hill. I may need to make a supply run today and while I'm out I'll see if I can find the dock.

I watched Parasite. I'm not very keen on subtitles, but it was an excellent movie.

We've watched 4 or 5 episodes and so far the Cuban drug dealing murderer seems like the most honest and trustworthy character.

We've been watching Murdoch Mysteries, a Canadian detective show set in the late 1800s, early 1900s. (I think the first season was 1895.) Murdoch, the detective, uses cutting edge science for the time to help him solve murders. It's clever and fairly light and just the perfect mood for me. I think there are about 15 seasons. 1-10 on are Hulu and perhaps Netflix. At 11, we had to go to Prime, where we are currently getting it free via a one-month trial subscription to Acorn TV, or you can buy the seasons. We'd watch the first half dozen or so a few years back and have just come back to it. Highly recommend it you want something not too serious, not dark, but not entirely frivolous. It's a bit like Murder, She Wrote, but in turn-of-the-century Toronto, with a bit of science thrown in, and some subtly funny, clever dialog. Characters on the show are often "inventing" things we know today.

My 78yo mother has recently become very taken with all things Yannick Bisson, bought dvds, subscribed to Acorn TV, & has watched all seasons of Murdoch at least twice. And that was BEFORE all this “stay-at-home” stuff. I admit, listening to her go on & on about the actor & the show can be tiring, but it beats the heck out of listening to her list of complaints about my father.

My parents are the ones who got me hooked. They watched an episode most nights when I was staying with them for a while (I think it was between moves). And I think perhaps he had Botox and it caused an eye droop on one side. His face seems a bit off now, and hasn't always.

Murdoch also has occasional guest stars from British television - I know that at least one Coronation Street actor has been on it, as well as a Downton Abbey actor.

Speaking of Downton Abbey, we really enjoyed Belgravia, based on the novel by Julian Fellows. Better than Downton, imo.

I'm not watching much. I think we're 4 episodes in on Call the Midwife. *spoiler alert* it looks like they may be setting up a story arc for the show's eventual end. And that makes me quite sad. I watch Doc Martin (though most the episodes that tape are repeats) and new stuff is Chicago PD, Blue Bloods and The Blacklist. I think that's it. DH has a TV on 24/7 so there is a constant marathon of one thing or another at any given time, but it's just noise to me. I pack my iHome speaker around with me and play Spotify when he's in another room. PS - if that's Murdoch, he's kinda cute.

We started re-watching How I Met Your Mother last night. (I never watched the final season so it hasn't been ruined for me yet).

I haven’t seen that, but I recently watched The English Game (also created by Julian Fellowes) on Netflix. It’s about the evolution of soccer/football from an amateur, gentleman’s game to a professional, working-class game. Based on historical events.

My DD and I watched Fried Green Tomatoes last night. I don't know if I ever saw it all the way through before. Such a wonderful movie.

DH & I are midway through season 2 of MI5/Spooks. I have to admit Matthew Macfadyen is growing on me.

I found all of the previous seasons of The Repair Shop on Amazon. I can’t explain what it is, but even my son likes it!
