Just started a two week trial with NOOM. Has anyone else used this?

I did a trial in Japan and found it kind of Meh. But maybe I didn't go it for long enough to get to the really helpful and perhaps less intuitive stuff. DH has been doing it for maybe two months and seems to really like it and says it is helping him make better food choices.

I did it. IMHO it's a touchy feely weight watchers. Same concept as lots of other count calories portion size programs. I got kind of bored with the constant "supportive info" messaages. But then I get bored with most programs after I figure them out!

My friend Nicole lost 40 lbs and has kept most of it off for over a year using Noom.

I tried it and I think the educational material is better than WW. It uses some CBT techniques that I found useful but the tracking while different is very similar to WW.
The default price for Noom is nuts for what you get though. It’s the same price as WW but with WW you get actual meetings also.
If you cancel before your trial ends they will offer you a more reasonable price of $19.99 a month. If you still cancel there is a very high possibility you will get an email in a few months offering an even bigger discount

I hear trying to cancel is like trying to cancel a gym membership.

I hear trying to cancel is like trying to cancel a gym membership. It’s easy, in the Guide chat window type “cancel” and you will get an auto response link and it cancels immediately

I hear trying to cancel is like trying to cancel a gym membership. I don't recall exact details, but I remember being pleasantly surprised at how easy it was.

So far, I’ve lost 6 lbs, so, yay! For me, it’s been more about the daily motivation the app gives me to be accountable. I’m not learning anything new, really, but motivation & persistence are my big weak points. Also, I question some of their food categorization. I haven’t decided on whether to continue beyond the trial period or not, so we’ll see.

Did 10 miles on the elliptical today. I need an outlet. Working out seem more productive than screaming. ETA: Opps, thought this was the workout thread. Sorry to hijack.
