No food or drink after midnight for her, so they will attempt surgery tomorrow morning, as her BP has been in the goal range all day today.

She is in the OR right now.
I have been unwilling to pepper Siobhan with questions, so I'm hearing everything through Cindy's (Jason's mom) lens. She's a nurse. She said they are doing a computer aided biopsy - I was under the impression that they were going to skip that step, but it may be something they need to determine the next steps. If it's a pheochromocytoma, they are benign 90% of the time, but if it's malignant they will have to move faster, because it is a fast growing tumor. If it's a neuroblastoma, then it will be a different approach in terms of treatment (slightly), but either way, they have to remove the tumor.
ETA: She is out of the OR and it went well - no blood pressure spike during the procedure. Now we wait for labs to come back and tell us what we're dealing with.

I'm just seeing this, and I can't imagine how emotionally draining these days must be for you all. I'm hoping for the best possible outcome on the lab results!

Preliminary labs indicate neuroblastoma. This is not great news, although it is more common than pheochromocytoma, it is also 50% likely to be malignant - and considering they've found other spots, that is what we are expecting to hear tomorrow.
