Well we have a treat for supper tonight. Last night our neighbour (who just got home from a successful moose hunt) brought over 2 nice moose steaks, so dh is going to bbq them. I haven't had moose since I was a child (dad used to moose hunt).

I have few leftover Italian meatballs to use up so I'll do spaghetti for Roxy and I to go with that, and the husband wants half a chicken shaked and baked (but I get the breast lol). Caesar salad for the kid and I, Greek for the other half.

We weren't too fancy - just did chicken breasts on the GF grill, I steamed some veg for the kid, nuked some peas as well & we cleaned up a whole bunch of leftover rice from a couple of days ago.

We had pot roast last night. Not a rousing success, the meat was cooked but it was tougher than it should have been. It was a well marbled chuck roast, which is what was recommended by the recipe. The veggies were all good, though.
Tonight will be cheese tortellini and spinach in a lemon wine butter sauce.

The moose steaks turned out excellent but was too much for both of us, so tonight we had the other one stir fried with vegetables and rice. It was really good.

Sesame beef tacos with pickled radish and cucumber. With sauteed cabbage and a sriracha cream. So good, and more importantly in my world, sooo easy. Brown ground beef, add cabbage and garlic, add sesame oil and soy sauce. thin slice radish and cucumber and add vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper and let sit while the meat cooks. Put on flour tortilla. Top with sour cream mixed with sriracha. And cilantro if you have it.
I've become a big fan of all sorts of weird tacos.
