I'm having leftover chicken shawarma, using Nadiya's (from the GBBO/S) Time to Cook recipe. This is the 2nd time I've made it, it is delicious and easy. I made the broccoli slaw she includes with the recipe, and serve it on flatbread with a garlicky Greek yogurt sauce. We're trying to eat through our fridge because of our upcoming long weekend vacation.

BF’s total cholesterol was off the charts recently (the airport burgers and fries are catching up) so I’ve been cooking really Extra healthy lately. Tonight is zucchini noodle “pasta” with fall vegetables and homemade low cho pesto (basically pesto with barely any Parmasean). I found mushrooms, tomatoes, zucchini and some squash at the farmers market so going to use those...

I made a vegetarian dinner last night, cumin roasted carrots with red onions and lemons - I also made a garlicky bean dip and spread that on toasted lavash bread for serving the carrots. It was delicious.
Tonight...no clue. I'm still at work right now because I'm on a Zoom meeting for election worker training for Assistant Registrars. It's a lot of familiar info for me but they have updated some of their forms and they have made some improvements.

I found a small roast (like only 1 pound!) at the grocery store today so we had roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, carrots and yorkshire puddings! It was very good. Smallest roast I've ever cooked but it turned out great. I got the first half of my crown done today and it wasn't nearly as hard on my jaw as previous visits. Plus I swear this new dentist is the most gifted freezing needle giver I've ever had. For once I can say I barely felt it, and mean it!

Pumpkin turkey chili made from leftover thanksgiving turkey. It has cinnamon and ground cloves so it smells really nice in my house right now.

I was in training until 8pm and when I got home, had an extremely well done hockey puck of a burger that Doug made (and apologized for!)

I was Too tired to cook - ordered Indian food. We got Lentils in tomato sauce and tandoori chicken. I wish I knew how to make this kind of food half as good as the restaurant does... the last time I tried to make lentils I followed the instructions and they turned into complete mush...

Spaghetti. Quick and easy after a long drive.
Tomorrow we’ll be having one of the 16 frozen packs of IKEA meatballs we bought this weekend. I’ll make roasted potatoes and steamed carrots to go with them, plus a spoon of lingonberry sauce. We also bought 6 frozen almond cakes, so we’ll thaw one of those. IKEA cafeteria in my home! Lol
