I read Rob Delaney's book A Heart That Works over the weekend - I wept through the entire book, it's about his son Henry, who had cancer almost as soon as he was born. Moving and funny and absolutely heartbreaking, but so beautiful and loving.

So far this month I’ve read All The Seas of the World by Guy Gavriel Kay and Sea of Tranquillity by Emily St. John Mandel (she also wrote Station Eleven). I’m about to start Babel by R.F. Kuang.

I just ordered a sample of The Midnight Library. I am in one of my moods where I simply cannot read.

I just ordered a sample of The Midnight Library. I am in one of my moods where I simply cannot read. Sometimes I get in a mood where nothing I have downloaded from the library appeals to me.

Update: Not a fan of Babel. It was well written and the premise was interesting enough, but for a story set in 1830s Oxford (England), the characters talked like people on Twitter in 2023. Took me right out of the story.

Not quite sure how this ended up in my library queue but I'm reading "The Light Pirate" by Lily Brooks Dalton. It is nothing like anything I would every willingly pick up, but here I am, half-way through it. A little too dystopian but I'm invested now.
