I mentioned in another thread that I was getting a couple of bookish subscription boxes in December and villanelle expressed an interest so I thought I would share. First up is the Bookish Box. This was my first (and likely my last). They have YA and adult versions and ones with a book and without. I got a without version since I pretty much exclusively read on an ereader. For the expense with shipping to Canada it didn't really feel worth it for me. Every where else I'm an XL but I ordered a XXL shirt to be safe and it still didn't fit . Although I do love it! So it came with a Harry Potter candle, Tshirt, Game of Thrones print, wooden book stack ornament (which unfortunately has "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" on it) and a mug from a book franchise that I've forgotten. I think it had a paper bookmark too and it had a little colouring card that you can colour and share on social media to win a free box. Next up is Owl Crate which I've been getting for a few months and really like. Not ever box is an out of the park hit but this one was for me. It's a YA subscription box It came with the book - there's usually a theme and the book relates to that theme and there are always goodies from the author - a post card explaining why they wrote the book, a signed book plate, and something else - in this case it was a little patch. I've also gotten pins and even a packet of flower seeds!. Also in this box was a candle, another wooden book stack ornament, a magnet from Percy Jackson, the thing with the round circles is a day planner/book journal which I'm kind of excited about and the "Don't let the Muggles get you down" thing is a book tote.

These look awesome - this would be great for my job. I saw a YA one that includes an online book club discussion with the author. I might have to give that one a try. Thanks for posting!

Thank you! Once I am home again, I am going to look in to these and see if they ship to me!

There's pretty much a subscription box for every thing you could possibly be interested one - cratejoy does a good job of collating a lot of them by genre but I tend to find a lot of mine on Instagram. I also routinely subscribe to geekgearbox out of the UK they do a monthly Harry Potter box and a monthly non-Harry Potter box. I have A LOT of Harry Potter tshirts . My only recommendation is to not get too long a subscription. Nerdblock when bankrupt last spring and some people had bought a 1 year subscription in advance. It got very ugly. It's cheaper but I would be leery about paying that far in advance for something like this.
