I just started “Zucked: Waking Up to the Facebook Catastrophe” - picked that off the suggestion shelf at the library.

I was going to start The Last List of Miss Judith Kratt, but instead I started The Escape Room by Megan Goldin. It’s good so far.

Ill Will by Dan Chaon. It's weird. I'm digging it.

I finished The Escape Room. It wasn’t bad.
I decided The Last List of Miss Judith Kratt would be next. It’s excellent! I’ll probably finish it tonight. The writing style reminds me of Where the Crawdads Sing, which I absolutely loved.

Finished Ill Will - an unsettling read! Very well written, weird and disturbing.

My church started a book club and this month we are reading “Before we were Yours” by Lisa Wingate. It is fiction based on the truth of adoption corruption. It’s very good.
I rather wish there was a parallel novel in the modern day on the same subject.

My current read/reading/TBR pile: This is Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid Madame Fourcade's Secret War: The Daring Young Woman Who Led France's Largest Spy Network Against Hitler by Lynne Olson Dear Edward by Ann Napolitano Normal People by Sally Rooney I have an advance copy of Such A Fun Age from the ALA convention over the summer, and I offered it to one of the English teachers in August. She read a few pages and gave it back because she didn’t get into it. Fast forward to this week, and she came into the library “EVERYONE is talking about that book and I could have read it months ago, before anyone knew about it! Can I have it back please??”

Nickel Boys by Colson Whitehead I just picked this one up at the library. Looks like one that will make me cry. I got this last summer after seeing the author on CBS This Morning. Dh took it with him to Louisiana for a month for something to read, and he said it was good. I got sidetracked with books I had set aside for fall and Christmas reading, so I’m finally getting around to this one. I’m only on chapter 3, so no crying for me yet.

I read half of it this morning and I felt choked up but didn't actually cry.

I recently finished The Library Book by Susan Orlean. I've heard it described as a "love letter for anyone who loves the library" and I have to agree! It was great.
I'm still reading The Old Drift and listening to Their Eyes Were Watching God.
