My layers are growing out and I'm starting to look like a sad 70's teen with no curling iron skills. LOL

I was always so jealous of people who could make their hair do styles like that. Mine fell straight no matter how much AquaNet I used.

I’m about to mute my niece on FB. She’s a hairdresser, and is posting a related to work, mostly tips and “hang in there” to her clients. But she and her friends are also trashing people who don’t spend a fortune on their hair.
Talking about how after this is over that they’re going to gouge their customers for fixing colour if they dye their hair at home during this as punishment, and today she posted something about how her clients should still buy product from her so that “they don’t resort to smelling like Herbal Essence”.
I’m not taking it personally so much - I could afford to spent oodles on my hair if I wanted to. I feel bad for her friends who see that who can’t. Plus she sounds like an idiot snob.
I know my niece has tonnes of “training” about how any products you buy or services you get other than at a salon are damaging and dangerous for your hair. But come on, it’s hair. It’s not health, it’s luxury. So people who like that sort of thing - have at ‘er. No need to try to make fun of those who can’t or don’t.

Especially in times like this when even if people can afford her services, they can't access them, when they are being seen less to it feels like it matters less, and when so many people can't afford rent or groceries. I would think that especially someone who had presumably lost her own income would be aware of that. What a tone-deaf conversation.

A different kind of hair style, but I found myself pondering today whether this will bring out the return of the Full Bush trend.

I used to drive by this waxing place in Dallas all the time. After few months I “finally” got the double entendre of The Pretty Kitty Salon

I only get my hair cut twice a year. lol I am so low maintenance. I am actually due for one right about now. I have just been pulling it back into a teeny tiny bun or pony tail since I don't really go anywhere. I haven't worn makeup in days. I will have dd or my husband trim the ends if I really want a cut. I have been seriously thinking about cutting bangs. I have done it before and it turned out okay. I usually leave them a little longer and they go in a side swoop.

Here it seems to be more nails than hair for women, especially for religious women. There are regulations for nails at the monthly ritual bath
