I have a couple of Price and Prejudice modern retellings that I got in subscription boxes and one retelling of Jane Eyre - but I've not read either originals so I'm doing what I'm calling Jane-uary - and I'm reading both originals and the three retellings. I'm starting with Price and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

In the last few days, I finished Atomic Habits (highly recommend), the Desire Map (meh, but the exercises at the end are worth the price of admission) and a re-read of How to get out of debt, stay out of debt, and live prosperously (meh, but I needed a pep rally).
My library card is expired so I have to actually get there for a new one. This may be an issue.

I’ve started Brain On Fire & All the Light We Cannot See. I’m also going to a new-to-me book club tonight to see what I think. I love my current group & will definitely stay with it, but thought I’d give this other one a try in order to meet new people in my still new neighborhood/church congregation. The more reasons to read, the better, right?

Loved Brain on Fire. WOG, is your Jane Eyre retelling Jane Steele by Lindsay Faye? If not, add that one to your list.

I just started Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough. I finished Behind Her Eyes this morning. It kept my interest and had a twist at the end. Next up is “I Let You Go” by Clare Mackintosh.

WOG, is your Jane Eyre retelling Jane Steele by Lindsay Faye? If not, add that one to your list. It isn't! But I think I used to have that one on my TBR...I'll have to see if I still have it. My P&P retellings are Pride by Ibi Zoboi and Ayesha at Last by Usma Jalaluddin. My Jane Eyre retelling is My Plain Jane by Cynthia Hand, Jodi Meadows, and Brodi Ashton.

Went to the library and picked up I'm On An Airplane by Parker Posey, Smile by Roddy Doyle and one other book I can't remember right now. I have to squeeze in all my reading before January 26, when school starts up again.

I loved it as well. It was on Reese Witherspoon’s book club list. I’ve read a few of her picks they’ve all been good reads

My new book club is reading this next month! Good to hear! The book this month is Bread and Wine by Shauna Niequist. I have no idea what this one is about. I need to start it! The March choice is 'Tis by Frank McCourt, which one of the founding members insisted on. I read it years ago, and am kind of annoyed! Lol! I also have Michelle Obama's book to begin. And I am trying to slog through all the miscellaneous stuff I have downloaded. Just going down the line. Right now it's Something called "Living Apart Together" about british empty nesters/ retirees who fall in a marital rut. Its a bit tedious, but I am slogging to the end, so I can start everything else!

I'm reading Herodotus's Histories. I'm about 2/3 of the way through. It's interesting and a fairly easy read (just long), though I'm pretty sure I'm getting some of the names and places mixed up in my brain.

Started You're On An Airplane by Parker Posey. Not sure how I feel about it, her writing is all over the place, sometimes intimate, sometimes incomprehensible - very feelings oriented. She reminds me of my older sister.
