This has been going on for 2 years?! I would opt for a hysterectomy. I don't regret mine one bit. You have more patience than I.

Geez Maur, I don't know how you've put up with this. It's too bad you didn't have that crystal ball. But knowing that your mom was 10 years going through menopause, does it not make you want to get the hysterectomy?

I had adenomyosis, had the hysterectomy and never looked back.
You’ll be amazed at how much better you feel when you aren’t anemic and don’t have huge pads hidden everywhere in case you need them.

This has been going on since I first got my period - just shy of my 10th birthday. I have had heavy, long periods for 42 years. I had a period the 1st 3 months I was pregnant with Siobhan, and had spotting every day I was pregnant with Maeve. Even though I breastfed both my kids, I got my period back within a month of giving birth. My uterus has been terrible to me.
How did I live with this? Irish Catholic culture really does a number on you when it comes to accepting suffering!
I just have to check insurance stuff, but I'm definitely looking to evict.

BTDT, got the ablation and it didn't help.
My hysterectomy was one of the best choices I ever made.

I would get the hysterectomy. That just sounds awful. I'm sorry you have had to suffer with this for so long! I had really heavy periods after last baby (2005, also had an IUD that was rejected in 2006) did birth control pills (didn't work) took Lysteda/tranexaminic acid during my period (helped a little) and opted for an ablation in 2019, which thankfully, worked. I've had maybe 4 days of spotting in 2 years. But it it hadn't worked, I would have opted for hysterectoomy.
