Went to the doctor today for a hemoglobin test, it is now up to 10.3, so that's good news. I talked with the OB/Gyn and will have another internal scan next Thursday. The scan I had before the transfusion wasn't good, they want to get better pictures, see if there is any adenomyosis.

There is NO reason that you should have to hemorrhage each month. When you posted something about this several years ago and your doctor made a comment along the lines of “heavy bleeding doesn’t necessitate a hysterectomy” I wanted to punch her in the face. You have endured more than enough and it never should have come down to you requiring a transfusion.

Saw the OB/GYN today, got a hard push for non-surgical approaches. My hip is going to be a problem, its the gift that keeps on fucking giving. It is unlikely that I could have laparoscopic or vaginal approaches, would probably be abdominal, because they will have difficulty visualizing with the limited space they would have because my left hip doesn't move.
She did an exam and thinks that I probably have adenomyosis. Also, I'm not a huge fan of impressing doctors with my weird body ("your uterus is...really big, kind of boggy. I was surprised at how huge it was." FUCK YOU, LADY.
I made an appointment with Jen's ob/gyn for a 2nd opinion.

I had an abdominal and it was rough at first. Not gonna lie. But, after 7 days, it wasn't too bad. I was working from home after 2 weeks. Probably needed a solid 3 weeks off work. I think after 3 weeks you can go back to a desk job, no problems.

I am so glad you are seeing Jen’s doctor. I don’t trust your physician group at all. They don’t seem to want to figure out how to give you appropriate care because it’s complicated.

Unfortunately, I've run into this in almost every aspect of health care. I had an orthopedist who strung me along for years, telling me that I could get my hip replaced when I was in my 40s, but he knew that it was probably extremely unlikely. He was the 3rd orthopedist I saw, the other two had retired. I've been to 2 others since, confirming that hip replacement was only going to happen if my hip completely fails, and it may not even be possible at all.

I am not saying a hip replacement is possible, I just don’t trust that it’s not, and I question how many docs brush it aside because others have too. Unfortunately that is a thing that happens.

Who should I talk to in Rochester, if I wanted to talk to someone about it?

I really hope you can find something that helps you.
The title of this thread reminds me of when Homer Simpson told Marge it's uterUS not uterYOU.
