Yeah, I need to check out some recipes and change things up. I eat a lot of the same foods but I need a variety to keep me excited

I had another gallbladder attack tonight so I'll probably drop another pound or two if it lasts. Amazing what horrible pain and nausea can do to aid in weight loss!

Saw this on Facebook 😂 I really wanted the second frame to be hundreds of bananas in the shape of a person.

1.5 lbs down this week.
I am reading the Beck Diet Solution per a recommendation somebody made on Facebook.
It’s Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for weight loss and so far it’s been really helpful. Some quotes that I highlighted that I really liked.
Some stuck stuck with me like the author talks about a patient who blows their diet that day and instead of stopping and reframing the problem they give up for the day. Instead you should view it as a temporary setback and look at it this way, you acknowledge your setback and recover immediately so you only gained half a pound vs 1-2 pounds if you gave up for the rest of the week.

I bought the book for my Kindle. I'm getting plenty of exercise by failing at eating properly. Although I have had healthy meals for the past 3 days, getting my full servings of vegetables. I ate too many cashews today.

I bought that book yesterday, TPatt. My exercise is great now. I drink plenty of water. I sabotage myself with what I eat.

Height 5'1 Current weight 150 Goal 120 Nutrition: reduce carbs, sugar, alcohol. Exercise: Yoga, walking and cardio/resistance. Biggest challenge: Consistency. I have a good week or even 2 and then nothing. I can't seem to build on little successes. Wishing you all the best.

My household is doing a Whole 30. Our goal is to improve our eating habits, which devolve terribly during the summer busy season. Plus, we need to use up the meat in the freezer before we butcher again, and we joined a CSA so I don't want the abundance of veggies going to waste.
It's a lot of work, honestly, but it kind of brings to light just how much we *haven't* been cooking lately.

Whole 30 really helped me break my sweet tooth, but damn, it was challenging.

Just saw a promo for a movie called Brittany Runs A Marathon. Looks like it could be inspirational but also funny. It also reminded me of when I walked the Manchester Road Race (a Thanksgiving day tradition in my town that attracts runners from all over the world) and came in last. Or would have come in last if they hadn't already taken down the gantry that tracked numbers as people crossed the finish line.

I see a place here advertising a fundraising event - a .5 K (yes, that's POINT 5!) with a donut break halfway. Finally, a sport for me!
