I’m disappointed with Ratched. I was really looking forward to it. It could have been so good. Instead it’s very stylish trash 😣 I just confused as to what her motive always is. Maybe there’s a back story I missed or something. 🤷🏼♀️ We’re a couple more episodes in, and things are making more sense now.

I watched the 1st episode and decided there was just no one involved that I wanted to spend any time with.
Doug and I watched a show on Amazon Prime called Loch Ness - murder mystery set in a small town in Scotland. Lots of red herrings, but pretty entertaining.
And we started watching Staged, which I think is on Hulu? It's Michael Sheen and David Tennant. The idea is that they were going to do a production of Six Characters in Search of an Author, but the pandemic shut it down, so they are talking about rehearsing it while locked down so they can be ready to go as soon as the plague has cleared. It's pretty entertaining.

Young Wallandar on Netflix, set in Sweden although everyone speaks English, some of them so well they barely have an accent. Compelling storyline (IMO - about refugees and right wing anti-immigration groups, and the power of wealth) and a cute young detective.

There is a new episode of the Great British Baking Show on Netflix! We will get a new episode every week. Sandy Toksvig is gone, now the hosts are Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas.

I still think Sue and Mel were the best ☹️ They're my favorites, too, although I do enjoy Noel Fielding.

Somebody recommended Inside No 9 on reddit, watched the first few episodes and it’s pretty good. Is a dark comedy with some spooky parts www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b05p650r

Ted Lasso on Apple TV. Really enjoyable.
Seriously, if you have Apple TV, you should watch this. It's so good.
I posted something on Twitter about my love for Ted Lasso and Jason Sudeikis liked it and followed me.

I watched the two seasons of Salvation on AmazonPrime, but was disappointed that it was cancelled after the second season so I got all invested for nothing. Of course we watched the first episode of season 2 of The Mandalorian. I love Timothy Olyphant.

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but Upload on Prime Video is great. Short episodes, I think 30 mins each, I like the actors, it's witty and funny.

This may sound absurdly hilarious to many of you, but my husband and I finally started watching "Game of Thrones". (Feel free to laugh.) Quoting myself to gripe that the material written for the series after the completed books were exhausted was just "meh".

The Queen's Gambit on Netflix is excellent - it's a limited series. We also just enjoyed the The Secrets of the Saqqara Tomb, also on Netflix; it's a documentary, more or less.

It’s on an over-the-air (antenna) channel called Comet, that we get from Buffalo. We have a decent-sized antenna on our roof so we get several channels from Western NY. I don’t know if Comet is available on any satellite or cable packages in Canada. Richard Hatch had a fairly large guest-starring role in the new BSG, but not as Apollo of course 😄 But no, you should give it a try if you get a chance. My husband loved the old BSG; I always thought it was ridiculously campy, but the new one is so, so good. Edward James Olmos played Adama, and he was perfect. We signed up for Prime again, and BSG is on it! I’m on episode 9 of the first season. And quite enjoying it. Yes, different than my beloved original, but not in a bad way. Except that I’m taking a long time to warm to Starbuck. And not because this version is a woman. Just that she’s trying too hard to be macho, and I’ve had the misfortune of being acquainted with people like her IRL. One thing I’m loving is the Vancouver connection. I squealed when I saw John Mann in the mini-series, then they used SFU as a location. Since then I’ve seen so many favourite buildings like the downtown library, and actors like Callum Keith Rennie.

I adore him ❤️
There’s one episode when Helo and Boomer are in Caprica City, and you can clearly see a Scotiabank building in the background 😄
