Started watching Schitt’s Creek and I’m having a hard time getting past Chris Elliott. I really dislike him. I had a very hard time with that, too. I can only say that he becomes less of an issue as the series moves on - he gets less screen time, and his character becomes less gross.
I am very glad I pushed through, because I freakin' love this show.

Started watching Schitt’s Creek and I’m having a hard time getting past Chris Elliott. I really dislike him. I had a very hard time with that, too. I can only say that he becomes less of an issue as the series moves on - he gets less screen time, and his character becomes less gross.
I am very glad I pushed through, because I freakin' love this show.
Yes to all of this. I grimaced when he first appeared as a character. He definitely gets less and less screen time. And everything else about the show is so worth it. |

That's exactly how I felt. I'm not sure why I disliked him though. Just something irritating about the character I guess. I’ve never liked him. He’s a horrible actor and he irritates me in whatever he’s in. |

We watched Bull up until the end of the last season. DH pulled it up tonight because there are new episodes out. First episode, Bull has Covid.
I watch a show like that because it is low-stakes escapism. I don't need a Covid storyline. If they are wearing masks and acknowledging it, sure. But for me, it was too much. (Plus, it turned into a weird musical number at the end, which they do sometimes, but I hated it.)

We started back watching "The Conners" and wow. It's excellent! Amazing how they pulled that show out of the ashes and made it work again. Also we are LOVING the Queens Gambit. Excellent show! New episodes of The Crown are out on netflix so we've started back watching that too.

Chris Elliot is useful for weird short bits, like he used to do on the old David Letterman show. Otherwise, I agree, he dragged Schitt's Creek down (although for those just starting, he becomes less significant/annoying as the series goes on.
