I am a little beside myself with Bridgerton. It’s delightful. We have watched four episodes in two days which is unheard of for us.

I have three shows going right now. One is a SciFi on Amazon, The Expanse. I thought they dropped the whole 5th season, but realized once I got through the 4th episode, they are releasing an episode per week. Who do they think they are?! Disney?! I started Bridgerton and am enjoying it! And I also started A Discovery of Witches. It's based off the book trilogy by Deborah Harkness.

Watching The Stand on CBS All Access and while the original is a bit dated this new one is all over the place and kinda boring,,.... I kept CBS All Access for this. I know the book by heart, and Gary Sinise IS Stu Redman lol. The new series, is formatted so strangely, it completely pulled me out. They are completely skipping the world building and investment in the characters for those who are not familiar. My husband is not familiar, and he was bored too.

I need to watch the original again but it seems like they skipped the journey to the town and did a time jump, this one is supposed to be longer so maybe they want to change things a bit.

I wrecked my sleep this weekend binging on A Place to Call Home, a 6 season series we found on the Amazon box somewhere. Set in post WWII Australia, it's mesmerizing. DH and I had to force ourselves to turn it off at 4am Saturday morning.

We are currently watching Dexter - not sure how we missed it for so long. We finished The Haunting of Bly Manor last night. It was not as good as The Haunting of Hill House. We will probably pick Expanse up again soon. We have been all over the place with shows.

Well, I’m currently obsessed with the Mandalorian, and as it’s styled as a “space western”, I’ve started watching movies that define the genre. Yesterday I watched The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, and tonight I watched half of Once Upon a Time in the West.

My 20 something daughter and I have been watching Welcome to Plathville. I am not proud of this, lol. But it is intriguing.

I think it’s all going to come out as flashbacks so they’ll go into more detail. I found myself missing the 1994 version as well. Even the music “Don’t fear the reaper” was spot on.

Firefly is a series but they ended it, fans revolted and they made Serenity. Very as Sci-fi western.

I haven’t, and I think I would love it! I’ve heard and read so much about it over the years - I didn’t watch when it first came out because my first child wasn’t quite a year old and I still didn’t have my head on straight 😄

Out of Gas is one of my favorite episodes of all time, of any show. We put on A Place to Call Home because he was surfing around and I saw it come up and remembered Mamapalooza's post. We watched one episode and I already am hoping for a terrible death for the matriarch.

Firefly/Serenity is my favourite series of all time. (And not just because Nathan Fillion is on my “list” haha). I highly recommend it for anyone who likes sci-fi. I watch my DVDs on a regular basis. With just one short season+movie it’s quick comfort food.

I'm almost through my second viewing of The Queen's Gambit (dh's first). I think next up will be Designated Survivor, and I want to check out The Order. I gave up on The Order, but I'm still working my way through Designated Survivor. I'm really liking it (and wishing we had a President like him).

See, the thing is, if I watch it and love it, I’ll be personally angry that it was cancelled after only one season, instead of being vicariously angry after reading about it online (if that makes any sense 😄)! I try to focus on the positives! It never got stale, none of the episodes are fillers, and Serenity did a really good job of tying everything together. Yes, I'd love it if they had a chance to delve into the pasts of some characters, but I'm okay with never knowing some things. I've only read one of the companion novels, even, then decided I was done. I like it complete as it is.
I will vomit if Disney (who now owns the rights) redoes it, like rumours are saying. It is supposedly going to be more "family friendly". Gag.
