I watched Firefly after hearing about how awesome it was for years and while I liked it I think my expectations were too high based on internet hype. I can see that happening. It’s just cheesy sci-fi from 20 odd years ago, with self-consciously quirky dialogue. Not exactly Shakespeare! . And the fandom is quite ridiculous. I avoid anything about it other than just watching and enjoying the show. I had zero expectations when I first saw it, other than it was from Joss Whedon with Nathan Fillion.

I started season 3 of Designated Survivor today. Admittedly, I was doing other things while it played, but I could tell something was different. I texted dd that it felt like the first two seasons were cable but the third season was Netflix. Sure enough, that’s exactly what happened. I’ll stick with it, but I really enjoyed how the first two seasons felt. Season 3 is a lot of swearing and nudity. It feels like a completely different series. I’m disappointed. I hope it improves.

I'm almost through my second viewing of The Queen's Gambit (dh's first). I think next up will be Designated Survivor, and I want to check out The Order. Designated Survivor. I'm really liking it (and wishing we had a President like him). Reminds me of West Wing but not quite as good. A little formulaic but we're enjoying it.

Yes, my husband & I were disappointed in the Netflix season. And they cancelled it with a lot of unanswered questions, didn't they?

Yes, it looks like it’s been canceled. Probably for the best from what I can see.

We signed up for Peacock since The Office left Netflix and I kept procrastinating watching more episodes. Discovered Superstore and we really like it so far, six episodes in.

And I discovered the show Evil on Netflix, CBS renewed it for a second season so I am going to give it a shot.

I started to watch Supernatural again, right where I left off in season 4. Those boys are so pretty.

But one episode scared the crap out of me and I wimped out after that! I should try again. You know which episode really gets me? The one with the little girl who lives in the walls and eats rats. Every now and then, I'll go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and think of her and then I have to HAUL ASS back to bed.

stellarfeller - the cast of Community did a script reading sometime during the pandemic and they got Pedro Pascal to play the part that was played by Walton Goggins in the actual episode (Cooperative Polygraphy). He couldn't stop laughing while he was reading the part.
