We've been watching Ghosts on Amazon Prime - the BBC version - the story is this woman has inherited this huge manor house, and she and her husband want to fix it up to turn it into an event space, but it's swarming with ghosts, and when she has a head injury, she can see them. Very funny, a combination of slapstick goofiness and character based humor. We love ghosts! And they have just come out with an American version this year. But he British one is very funny.

I've been watching "Packed to the Rafters". It was recommended to me, and I needed something fluffy. It's an Australian soap-y sort of thing about a family. Has some funny bits, some sad bits. I'm enjoying it.

We’re starting Yellowstone. DH loves Yellowstone. I found it a bit violent so I sit and do my puzzle while he watches. We watched the first episode of the U.S. version of Ghosts. It has some interesting characters that are different from the BBC version. IF we hadn't already seen the BBC version, I think we'd like it better. No one does it as good as the Brits. We're ambivalent about it. So if you haven't seen the BBC Ghosts and want something different, try the U.S. Ghosts.

Inky, I feel the same way about the British Ghosts v. the American Ghosts. I think the U.S. husband is kind of a dick, where Michael is sweet but dumb. And I don't like the U.S. Allison. At all. I love British Allison.

I love British Allison. We've watched 2 more episodes of the US Ghosts and it's growing on us. I like the U.S. Allison. The husband is okay. Some of the ghosts are different (I like that) - the one who died of dysentery! Creates clouds of noxious farts when people pass through LOL. Thing is, we needed a short show (20-25 minutes) to watch after our 1 hour show during dinner (we've gotten in the habit of eating in the TV room most nights and watching a couple of TV shows together.)

We watched Finch on Apple TV. Tom Hanks. I loved it. They did not explain a lot but still a nice film.

We're having a "Tom Hanksgiving" on Thursday, so we may have to add Finch to the list!

That's a fun idea, Peachy!
My favorite podcast had a live session (in 2019) with Roisin Conaty and she was so funny, I had to look up her other work, and so we started watching her show Gameface, which is on Hulu. I'm loving it.

Cowboy Bebop with John Cho is pretty good. And I love the music.

We started re-watching Frasier. We needed a short comedy to fill in some suppertime. It's still one of the funniest shows!

I watched The Humans on Showtime this weekend. It was very good, but not cheerful in any way. Kind of like a family drama presented as a horror movie.
And Doug and I went to the movies on Saturday night - we saw Belfast, it was very good.

I'm watching All Creatures Great and Small. It was one of my favourite book series as a kid, and I loved the original tv series in the late 70s. This new one is good, too. A slightly different focus and tone, I think the old series stuck more to the books with lots on the nitty gritty of old time vet care. Dh and I are still working our way through the X-Files, on season 6 now. It's held up pretty well, largely in part to the excellent acting. The old school tech is hilarious from the view of 2021 - the show really points out how quickly tech has evolved. Dh still comments "yeah, she said that when I fixed her car..." whenever Scully gets flirty with Mulder. He actually did fix Gillian Anderson's car, and chatted with her, round about 2004-ish. I would have been excited about that too, so I let it slide. ![:lol](//storage.proboards.com/6819125/images/ootSdPWOeOobaJZc0kIU.gif)

We started re-watching Frasier. We needed a short comedy to fill in some suppertime. It's still one of the funniest shows! That episode when Niles tries to iron his pants and ends up passing out (and, I think, setting fire to Martin’s chair) remains one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen on TV 😄

I love the books, and have them all. I've re-read them over and over.
